V-A-C-A-T-I-O-N

Just because most of us are returning from an extended holiday break doesn't mean we can't still think about vacation. Face it. When you woke up this morning, you probably didn't think "Finally! I get to go back to work!" And if you did... what's wrong w/you???

In the spirit of escaping from the ho hum corporate world for a bit longer, let's take a little trip together, shall we? Leave behind the snow that never seems to stop falling, reminding you flake by flake of how nice it would be to be somewhere sunny, warm and miles away from the monotony of everyday life.

You're on a plane (or in a car, depends on where you're going), headed for your dream vacation destination(s). Of course, in our world, money and time are no objects, so feel free to indulge your wildest vacation desires on this little fantasy trip. Where are you going to escape for a while, if only in your dreams?

Oh, ANYWHERE but here, that's for sure. I hate super hot weather, so even in this bone-chilling cold, I still wouldn't say somewhere totally tropical. I think I'd pick Australia, depending on how hot it gets there in the summer.

I was just looking through my Ireland pictures this morning, though, and longing to go back there. I want to sit at our little outdoor cafe, eat crepes and then get a Butlers hot chocolate and walk to the sea.

Iceland. It's been my dream vacation for a number of years now. Especially after watching about it as a vacation destination on the Travel Channel...

Oh- a no brainer for me! I'm in Disney World with my two best friends, of course, and all of their children. We are staying in the Park so that we don't have to travel too far for the entertainment. Did I mention that we have 3 nannies that came with us? Oh yeah! And they are staying in the adjoining room while we room together, stay up late, drink hot tea while talking, catching up on life and receiving our in-room massages! Oooooo- who's booking the tickets????????

There are too many. Give me a place with a significant human history I'll be happy.

-Rome
-I'll take nearly anywhere in Europe for now
-Virginia... Civil War battlefields

If I want complete rest and relaxation, I'm on a beach somewhere. It's warm but not too warm, and the humidity isn't overbearing (who wants fuzzy hair in paradise??) Sunshine too... lots of sunshine. And not a care in the world.

If I want to be active, I'm going to Europe. Extended tour of all the European sights I've wanted to see.

Either Belize or Tahiti because everytime I see pictures of those places they have those awesome private little huts built on stilts in the middle of the water. It looks so romantic and realxing!

On a cruise ship in the Carribbean. I've ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS wanted to go on a cruise. I will do that before I die. I was schedule to go on one. The whole trip was paid for, I had my bathing suit purchased and was ready to go (30 or so days and counting) and then, Hurricane Katrina hit. FEMA commandered our ship to house the homeless, which I was okay with b/c they were in turmoil and I had a roof over my head. However, people refused to board the ship as they were a bit over the whole being in water thing so the ship wasn't even utilized, but our trip was still canceled. Oh well, wasn't meant to be I guess.
