Baby, it's cold outside, part deux

I stayed in bed this morning until the last possible minute, listening to a local radio station and praying for a snow day.

No luck.

Andrew had the day off, anyway, so he and the boys are home, sleeping in, staying in their jammies all morning, who knows what else? I'm so jealous.

What would you rather be doing (realistically) today, than what you're doing right now?

I'd rather be at home under my brand new supersoft fleecey electric throw blanket and having an Alias marathon.

Realistically?

I'd love to be at home in my kitchen, baking tons of yummy treats (only after I've slept in until at least 8:00). In between batches, I would snuggle up on my couch w/a big mug of tea and my heated blanket while watching cheesy daytime tv and catching up on my beloved DVR. Mmm. The -25 wind chill wouldn't seem so bad then.

In my dream world?

Sitting outside in the warm sunshine on a hot day and reading a great book. Sigh... how far away is summer again?

OK, I don't mean to rub it in, but I live in a warm climate, and January is typically our best weather. So what would I rather be doing? I'd love it if I were at home ALONE (minus two little boys that had runny noses and were screaming in attempt to avoid taking naps) sitting on my back patio reading a good book, doing crossword puzzles or reading useless tabloid mags :)

I was raised by a Mom that made you feel like a completly lazy schmuck if you let one sunny day go by without taking advantage of it. After 12 years out of the house, the guilt that is still associated with that is amazing!

I would be catching up on all those little things that seem to pile up - you know, taxes and such? :)

Sleep late, work out, go have lunch, sleep some more and then go to a bar for an hour.

I would rather be snuggled under a blanket on my couch, alternately reading a good book and watching CNN.

If it were dream world, I would be laying next to a pool in florida in a swimsuit that makes me look good (hey it's a dream world!) reading a good book and watching CNN poolside, all while sipping on a tasty beverage.

I would rather be:

Anywhere but where I work.

Doing anything but what I do at work.

With anyone else but those with whom I work.

(My work sucks.)
